What You’ll Like About This Job

FortisBC is hiring full-time Powerline Technicians for its Oliver, BC operations to maintain and support electric utility transmission and distribution systems. This hands-on role involves safety-critical work, standby coverage, and potential travel. Ideal candidates hold a Journeyman Powerline Technician Certificate and have experience with protective and isolating devices.

What You’ll Need

• Journeyman Powerline Technician Interprovincial Certificate or Lineman TQ Certificate
• Class 3 driver’s license with air brake endorsement
• Familiarity with electric transmission/distribution systems and safety protocols
• Willingness to fulfill standby, overtime, and travel requirements
• Adherence to residency rules per operational area
