As part of its continued growth in Canada, ENERCON is seeking a dedicated and experienced General Project Manager (GPM) to join its project installation team. This key role plays a strategic part in the deployment of wind farms across the country.

Reporting directly to the Project Management Director, the GPM will be responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle, from planning to final delivery, ensuring successful execution within scope, budget, timeline, and in alignment with ENERCON’s high standards for quality and safety. The role also involves close coordination with internal and external stakeholders, including collaboration with our headquarters in Germany.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of project execution: scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks, and communication.
  • Lead, motivate, and support the project team to achieve defined goals and deliverables.
  • Ensure smooth and effective communication with all project stakeholders: clients, suppliers, subcontractors, internal departments, and international partners.
  • Serve as the main point of contact with clients to clearly define and manage expectations.
  • Proactively set up projects for success and address issues or roadblocks in a timely manner.
  • Oversee subcontractors and consultants to ensure compliance with technical, contractual, and budgetary requirements.
  • Provide regular progress, performance, and budget tracking reports.
  • Collaborate with ENERCON’s headquarters in Germany to ensure global project alignment.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety guidelines across all job sites.

Profile & Qualifications:
  • University degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, civil) or a related field.
  • Member of the OIQ (an asset).
  • 3 to 6 years of project management experience in wind energy, renewable energy, or construction.
  • Fluent in both English and French, written and spoken.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and team management skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Comfortable leading project meetings and presenting to stakeholders.
  • Well-organized with a strong sense of initiative and accountability.
  • Proficient with MS Office, MS Project, and SAP.
  • PMP certification (an asset).
  • ASP construction card (an asset).
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across Canada (approx. 10%) and occasionally to Germany..
