Secoda is hiring for a highly motivated and driven Business Development Representative to help us grow our customer base. As one of our first BDRs you are self-motivated, curious, and a go-getter who loves connecting with people. You will be the first point of contact for many prospective customers, and you will build strong rapport while understanding prospect needs, and positioning how Secoda can meet and exceed their expectations. As a member of our founding BDR team, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging potential customers, initiating cold outbound outreach, and generating qualified leads to support the sales team.
What You Will Be Doing

You will be the first point of contact for many prospective customers, and you will build strong rapport while understanding prospect needs, and positioning how Secoda can meet and exceed their expectations. As a member of our founding BDR team, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging potential customers, initiating cold outbound outreach, and generating qualified leads to support the sales team.
What You Will Be Doing
- Prospect and qualify potential customers by creating opportunities and setting up high-value meetings for our Account Executives. Utilize research and data to prioritize outreach efforts via cold calls, emails, and social networking to build a robust sales pipeline
- Partner closely with our CEO and Account Executives to identify and source meetings that would lead to pipeline and closed-win revenue
- Maintain a high volume of cold calls per day with the intent to qualify key leads
- Consistently working towards and achieving daily/weekly/monthly activity targets and quota
- Become a Secoda expert by researching, understanding and targeting our ICP
- Build and maintain a professional network; staying up to date with industry news and trends, and establishing professional relationships
- Maintain accurate records of outreach and pipeline activity in Salesforce
- 6-12+ months of sales experience, with a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed in sales
- A natural communicator who isn’t afraid to make cold calls and initiate contact with potential customers
- Positive attitude, resilience, and a strong work ethic
- Eager to learn and able to take constructive feedback
- A consistent and proven record of meeting and exceeding goals
- Have a strong and genuine interest in data and AI
- Tech experience or experience in a fast-growing startup environment
- Experience with Salesforce, Gong, SalesNav, ScratchPad and other similar tools
