Overview:
As a Finance Co-op Student at Versaterm you will support the Accounting, FP&A, and contracts team that helps drive decision for management of business operations. You will also produce monthly reports on key business units, functional area, and provide ad hoc analysis as needed. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys questioning the norm and strives to continually improve/automate processes and can automate various internal monthly reports.

Overview:
As a Finance Co-op Student at Versaterm you will support the Accounting, FP&A, and contracts team that helps drive decision for management of business operations. You will also produce monthly reports on key business units, functional area, and provide ad hoc analysis as needed. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys questioning the norm and strives to continually improve/automate processes and can automate various internal monthly reports.
Responsibilities:
- Help with streamlining accounting/finance/operational processes, documentation of processes and customer contracts.
- Work closely with Products & Solutions team (R&D, Services, G&A) to compile FP&A reports to Drive process improvement through automating reports and building dashboards
- Assist with A/P and A/R as required. Analyze billing that is used for revenue forecasting
- Assist with quarterly budgets, monthly forecasts, and ad hoc analysis as required
- Identifying, improving, and standardizing processes within Finance where possible
- Support operational managers, finance directors with special projects as they arise
- Prepare monthly/quarterly presentations to highlight KPIs and business performance
- Compile resources for future coops and peers (documents, PPTs, video tutorials, how-to, etc.)
- 2+ years undergraduate education in Commerce (Accounting and Finance Concentrations only), or economics. Minimum A- in required Math, Accounting, Finance and Economics courses and B+ overall average
- Advanced MS Excel skills and experience using it on a day-to-day basis
- Adaptable: ability to work effectively in different situations and/or with different people
- Excellent written / verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and prioritize tasks as needed
- Proactive: always remaining curious and not afraid to ask questions
- Able to summarize data into visual dashboards using charts, graphs, trend analysis
- Prior Knowledge of Intacct or accounting systems
- Strong technical skills, particularly with Visual basic, SQL, PowerBi or Tableau
