With strong backing from our owners, industry leaders OEC and Envari Construction Holdings, we have laid the foundation for rapid growth. Now, we are looking for a strong Business Development Manager to identify new business opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and strengthen our market presence with utilities, municipalities, and private sector clients. Reporting to the General Manager, you will help position Teraflex for sustainable, long-term success.
What You’ll Own

Articulate ideas clearly and confidently in both written and verbal formats; listens actively and tailor messages effectively to diverse audiences including clients, partners, and internal teams.
Develop and nurture trust-based relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders; acts as a connector and relationship strategist to drive repeat business and long-term partnerships.
Think big picture while staying grounded in business realities; identify trends, evaluate risks and opportunities, and contribute to strategic decision-making with a focus on long-term growth.

What You’ll Own
STRATEGIC GROWTH FOCUS
- Identify, evaluate, and orginate new business opportunities aligned with Teraflex’s strategic plan;
- Expand share of Business with current customers
- Sell more offered services to current customers
- Engage new customers in offered services
- Strategically expand geographic footprint of services offered
- Play a key role in broadening Teraflex’s services in a sector experiencing exciting growth and innovation
- Research and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and potential clients
- Build a pipeline of leads for both public and private sector opportunities
- Cultivate strong relationships with existing and potential clients, including utility companies, municipalities, general contractors, and consultants
- Represent Teraflex at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
- Lead or support the preparation of RFPs and proposals
- Work with estimating and operations teams to develop competitive and compelling submissions
- Work closely with leadership, estimating, and project management to align business development efforts with operational capabilities
- Communicates monthly on pipeline status, win/loss analysis, and strategic targets.
- Responsible for managing and reporting on Business Development database
- Manage daily / report on monthly
- Provide status updates
- Public and private sector customers targets
- Expanded service offering targets with current customers
- New geographic targets
- Market trends, competitor activity, and potential clients
- Pipeline status
- Win / Loss analysis
- 5-7 years of business development experience in the utilities and construction space
- Proven track record of identifying and securing new business, and growing overall client portfolio
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Analytical mindset with strong organizational and strategic thinking abilities
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Ontario
- Bi-lingual considered an asset
