Extrusion Die Engineer

Our company is growing and looking to add an Extrusion Die Engineer . We are looking for a dynamic and driven candidate interested in joining a fast-growing global company in the automotive sector.

Responsibilities

The Extrusion Engineer will l ead the die evaluation work during the new product development phase, follow up on the die opening process, and ensure timely sample delivery. Other responsibilities include:

• Take full responsibility for the entire lifecycle management of dies, including die order submission, acceptance, real-time monitoring of die status, and execution of die scrap processes according to standards.
• Coordinate the management of die technical documentation, including but not limited to organizing and archiving product cross-sectional drawings, die drawings, and maintaining and updating die ledgers.
• Conduct die supplier evaluations and establish and improve the supplier assessment system.
• Undertake die surveying and mapping tasks and complete 3D modelling work to provide data support for die maintenance and improvement.
• Drive die cost reduction projects, focusing on controlling product wall thickness to achieve cost optimization goals.
• Be responsible for building and training local technical talent teams.
  
  

To qualify for this role you must meet the following:

• Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in engineering, mechanical design, die design, or related fields.
• Familiarity with aluminum extrusion processes, die machining processes, and mold flow analysis.
• Proficiency in CAD drafting, 3D drafting, and office software.
• English proficiency as a working language (above B2 level).
• Strong stress resistance and cross-cultural communication skills.
