We are currently seeking a motivated and talented individual to join our North Vancouver team as a Capital Planning Project Associate. This role offers the opportunity to grow and develop alongside experienced professionals while contributing to meaningful projects.

Position Overview

As a Capital Planning Project Associate, you will support and collaborate with Project Managers and Principals on a variety of capital planning projects. You will engage in client relations and project delivery, including assisting with Building/Property Condition Assessments, Depreciation Reports, New Home Warranty Reviews and Warranty Resolution Services.

General Responsibilities

  • Marketing: Represent Sense Engineering professionally, building positive relationships with clients, contractors and other consultants.
  • Knowledge Development: Enhance your understanding of building science, life cycle analysis and costing while sharing insights and lessons learned with the team.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Service Delivery: Conduct site assessments and prepare reports, including Depreciation Reports, Warranty Reviews and Building/Property Condition Assessments.
  • Proposals: Assist in developing scopes of work and project proposals based on client needs.
  • Project Coordination: Communicate with clients, contractors and other consultants to ensure smooth project delivery.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Materials, Mechanical), Building Science, Architectural Science or Applied Science; or Advanced Diploma in Architectural Technology or Civil Engineering Technology
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

  • Salary Range is $70,000 to $90,000 inclusive of an average profit sharing bonus which is dependant upon performance.
