Our Project group are currently seeking a Telecommunications Lead to join their team! This position will be based in our St. John's office for preparation and transition Offshore Newfoundland for the completion of project scope.
What will you be doing?
Consistent with the Atlantic Accords Act, residents of Newfoundland and Labrador specifically, and Canadians generally, who are qualified, will be given first consideration for training and employment. Eligibility to work in Canada

Our Project group are currently seeking a Telecommunications Lead to join their team! This position will be based in our St. John's office for preparation and transition Offshore Newfoundland for the completion of project scope.
What will you be doing?
- Lead and manage the installation and commissioning of Telecommunications systems and scopes accordance with the commissioning strategy and schedule.
- Perform and oversee system testing, troubleshooting, and validation to identify and resolve defects or issues.
- Supervise and coordinate on-site commissioning teams, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with technical and safety requirements.
- Manage subcontractors for Telecommunications commissioning activities including testing an performance standards
- Supervise and mentor field personnel, conduct effective safety meetings, ensure established commissioning processes and policies are communicated and adhered.
- Liaise and advise the Client on critical telecommunication systems and scope ensuring alignment with the commissioning schedule and discipline specific activities
- Responsible for gathering and maintaining commissioning documentation to validate the readiness for operation of critical start up Telecommunication systems
- Provide technical guidance and support during the commissioning phase, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Technical Diploma or Trade Certification
- A minimum 10 years’ experience in coordination, planning, and commissioning in an industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of telecom infrastructure, fiber optic systems, wireless communications, and related technologies
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing commissioning teams and subcontractors
- Ability to interpret and provide effective decisions on methods and techniques to be utilized for discipline activities
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office / business computer applications
- Working knowledge of regulatory requirements in Project jurisdiction
- Experience working in a Project work site environment and coordinating with other disciplines
- Experience working in an offshore and/or shutdown environment would be an asset
- Successful completion of an offshore medical and regulatory training required for Offshore Newfoundland
