Plasman is currently seeking a new member to join our SALES team as an:

ESTIMATOR

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. This role is critical in providing accurate cost analysis and supporting successful project outcomes from a financial perspective.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze project requirements (RFQ's) and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates for products and services.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
• Review and interpret technical drawings and documents to assess material, labor, and equipment costs.
• Develop and maintain a MASTER database of cost-related information for future reference and benchmarking.
• Participate in project planning meetings, and all continuous improvement efforts to present estimates and discuss potential cost-saving strategies.
• Provide support in negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations in all estimating practices.
• A strong understanding of all quality and business-related operating systems (ISO/IATF) is required for this role.
  
  

Qualifications, Experience and Skills We're Looking For

• Post Secondary degree or diploma in a technical, engineering, or a related field. A combination of education, training and years working experience will be considered.
• 3-5 years of experience in estimating plastic component parts, or a similar cost analysis role within the automotive, plastics or manufacturing industries.
• Blueprint reading and comprehension of State of Requirements are must haves.
• AutoCAD, Tooling & Gauging, and Paint & Assembly experience are assets for this position.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize under tight deadlines.
