Summary

This position assists and supports others in a department, subdivision, function, or project. The position relies primarily on established policies, procedures, and applicable work practices to make decisions as they apply to the job duties and responsibilities.

Scope

The purpose of this position is to assist internal and external customers in the purchasing, shipping, or receiving of parts or other items from the company. This position typically reports to the department supervisor. This position receives minimal supervision and may train other technicians.

Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Pull orders from warehouse stock or restock as needed
  • Inspect orders for correct items and correct quantities Keep work area in a safe, clean, and orderly condition
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
  • Plan, organize, and carry out assignments as directed
  • Adhere to and support AMECO’s Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
  • Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job
  • Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality
  • Other duties as assigned

Typical Minimum Qualifications - Related Education, Experience & Skills

  • A combination of education and directly related experience equal to five (5) years*; some locations may have additional or different qualifications to comply with local requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Working Conditions

  • Generally favorable indoor office workspace, and/or;
  • Various levels of environmental conditions including but not limited to project worksites and vendor/client facilities which may have temporary office space, moving mechanical parts and vibration; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and extreme temperatures and high noise levels

Preferred Qualifications - Related Education, Experience & Skills

  • High School diploma or global equivalent
  • Five (5) years of experience in construction equipment industry
  • Proficient computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet, and electronic presentation programs
  • Physically able to squat, stoop, bend, climb, lie on back, lift and pull, reach up and out, lift 70 pounds, carry 50 pounds, and use a 10-pound sledgehammer (or global weight equivalents)
  • Good communication skills for internal and external customers
  • Strong organization skills
  • Knowledge of parts, inventory, and warehouse practices
  • Ability analyze and improve work processes
  • Warehouse: ability to pass internal forklift license
