Homes are one of the largest sources of carbon emissions, which can be dramatically reduced by converting to heat pumps, however, adoption lags due to high cost and friction in the retrofit process today. Solving one layer of the value chain won’t move the needle on adoption. Mass adoption will come when it becomes a no-brainer for homeowners to transition. That is why Jetson is building the first fully vertically integrated home electrification company. Jetson will make it simple, transparent and affordable for everyone to get a heat pump.
The Opportunity
As Operations Systems & Documentation Lead, you’ll own the creation, evolution, and structure of all process documentation across the company — from field install workflows and warehouse logistics to internal tools and training SOPs. You’ll work directly with our install crews, product managers, and regional ops leads to extract the real-world workflows and build a system for scaling them cleanly.
This isn’t just a technical writing job. You’ll help architect the processes themselves — identifying inefficiencies, proposing improvements, and helping implement change. Your work will become the nervous system of how Jetson scales.

Pay: $90,000 - $110,000 per annum

What You Will Do
- Create clear Standard Operating Procedures and complementary visual workflows for consistent team guidance.
- Manage the company's Notion knowledge base, including structure, permissions, templates, and content updates.
- Establish robust version control and clear change tracking for all documentation.
- Create a strategy for localizing SOPs to accommodate regional variations while maintaining consistency.
- Engage with field teams to observe and identify practical challenges and areas for improvement in operational workflows.
- Proactively identify inefficiencies and pain points within existing operational processes.
- Collaborate on piloting solutions and manage the rollout of validated process improvements across the organization.
- 6 + years in an operations, program management, product ops, or business systems role in a scaling organization
- Exceptional clarity in written communication — especially for non-technical users
- Experience creating SOPs, internal documentation, and process maps (Lucidchart, Miro, etc.)
- Familiarity with tools like Notion, Airtable, Google Workspace, and (optionally) low-code automation tools
- Systems thinker who can zoom out to model processes, and zoom in to sweat the details
- Curious, observant, and comfortable interviewing and shadowing frontline teams
- Bonus: background in HVAC, field service ops, climate tech, or hardware/software scale ups
Pay: $90,000 - $110,000 per annum
