The Senior Manager, Information Technology is responsible for overseeing Wave’s information technology systems and infrastructure, ensuring they align with business goals, operate efficiently, and remain secure. This role involves managing IT teams, planning and implementing corporate technology strategies, and maintaining day-to-day IT operations.
**Please note: This role requires the incumbent to be on-site at our Toronto office (155 Queen's Quay East) 3 days per week.**

The Senior Manager, Information Technology is responsible for overseeing Wave’s information technology systems and infrastructure, ensuring they align with business goals, operate efficiently, and remain secure. This role involves managing IT teams, planning and implementing corporate technology strategies, and maintaining day-to-day IT operations.
**Please note: This role requires the incumbent to be on-site at our Toronto office (155 Queen's Quay East) 3 days per week.**
Here's how you'll make an impact:
- Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive IT strategies aligned with organizational objectives (ie. OKRs). Stay updated with technological trends to recommend upgrades or new tools. Manage IT budgets, forecast expenses, metrics and control costs
- Systems Management: Oversee the maintenance, upgrading, and security of IT systems and networks. Ensure the hardware, software, and network systems are operating effectively and efficiently. Assist in policy development and protocols to ensure system reliability and uptime
- IT Asset Management: Responsible for overseeing and managing Wave's IT assets, including hardware and software. Managing appropriate licensing, asset life cycles, and optimizing asset utilization. Furthermore, develop and implement IT asset management strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor (coach), and manage IT staff, including system administrators, developers, and coordinators. Set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations. Foster professional development and training for IT team members. Lead IT-related projects from planning to execution, ensuring timely delivery and within budget constraints
- Project Management: Plan and execute IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, or implementations. Collaborate with other departments to meet their technology needs. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Manage team and vendors overseeing Audio Visual (AV) Infrastructure to support effective communication and collaboration
- Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, assisting in negotiating contracts and ensuring optimal performance and adherence to established SLAs
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and data protection laws. Generate reports on IT system performance, issues, and project statuses
- Cybersecurity: Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to protect data and systems. Assist with disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies
- 7+ years relevant experience in IT operations, managing teams and large-scale IT ecosystems
- Solid understanding and industry experience in the usage of HelpDesk solutions (ex. JIRA ServiceDesk, Zendesk, Foqal)
- In-depth knowledge of Wave incident lifecycle coverage for end-to-end incident management
- Extensive experience IAM solutions such as Okta or similar Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions provisioning access rights and scripting tools (ex. Better Cloud)
- In-depth knowledge of Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions such as Mosyle, JAMF and SaaS-based applications
- Solid understanding of Fortinet Hardware and Solutions, Google Workspace Administration & Amazon AWS Cloud Platform
- Strong knowledge of Agile, DevOps methodology and tools
- Solid understanding of Wave customer facing applications
