Job Summary
The Technical Deployment Management team focuses on the physical implementation of all deployments (including EIS and change orders) in the data center. As a Technical Deployment Analyst, you will plan, monitor and manage data center customer implementations from initiation through completion, including the oversight and coordination with vendors. You will also deliver data center project implementations on-time according to customers' specifications, meeting customers' and Equinix's quality standards.

Responsibilities
Customer Order: Requirements & Support
- Documenting and validating customer's order requirements
- Develops technical knowledge base of the Data Centers
- Creates task list to document and understand the customer's deployment
- Development of project implementation plans
- Works on assigned project activities
- Inventory auditing and records keeping during project implementation
- Investigations and resolutions of customers' and cross-functional issues during project implementation
- Follow Equinix Operations Policies and Processes
- Follows business and/or technical processes within the Data Center
- Identify opportunities for improvement for basic or narrowly focused processes (e.g. Order fulfillment process)
- Utilize business systems (i.e. Siebel Fulfillment) within Equinix
- Supports the team in ensuring Operations provisioning data is accurately input into Equinix business systems (i.e. Siebel Fulfillment)
- Supports any physical audit efforts
- Supports the team and Data Center Operations Support on any required Vendor support
- Demonstrated operations / project management experience in a Data Center environment
- Bachelors degree in IT-related or Electrical / Mechanical Engineering field preferred
- Bilingual Canadian French a plus

- Développer une banque de connaissances techniques des centres de données
- Créer une liste de tâches pour bien documenter et comprendre le déploiement client
- Développer des plans de mise en œuvre des projets
- Exécuter les activités de projets assignées
- Vérifier l’inventaire et tenir les dossiers à jour durant la mise en œuvre du projet
- Examiner et résoudre les questions clients et transversales durant la mise en œuvre du projet
- Respecter les politiques et processus opérationnels d’Equinix
- Suivre les processus d’affaires et techniques dans les centres de données
- Dégager des possibilités d’amélioration de processus de base et très ciblés (p. ex. processus de traitement des demandes)
- Utiliser les systèmes administratifs en place à Equinix (Siebel Fulfillment)
- Appuyer l’équipe en s’assurant que les données de provisionnement de l’équipe des Opérations sont correctement entrées dans les systèmes administratifs d’Equinix (Siebel Fulfillment)
- Soutenir les vérifications physiques
- Fournir de l’assistance à l’équipe et à l’équipe de soutien opérationnel au centre de données pour toute requête de soutien en lien avec un fournisseur
- Expérience démontrée des opérations/de la gestion de projets dans un centre de données
- Baccalauréat dans un domaine lié aux technologies de l’information, en génie électrique ou mécanique préféré
- Bilinguisme français canadien-anglais un atout
