We are looking for a bold, creative, and strategic Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition to lead how we discover and secure the very best talent. In today's fast-changing talent market, we need more than great process — we need a head-hunter's mindset. This role is about building deep networks, proactively identifying game-changing candidates, and staying ahead of trends and on top of process, to ensure we consistently hire top performers. The ideal candidate thinks like a talent architect — not just filling roles but shaping the future of our teams. They bring sharp business acumen, sound judgment, and operational excellence to drive smart, strategic hiring decisions across the company.
The Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition will lead the design and execution of a forward-thinking talent acquisition strategy across Canada and the US. This is a high-impact role focused on driving proactive sourcing and attracting top-tier talent in key functions including marketing, finance, manufacturing and supply chain, e-commerce, and sales. Success in this role means you take on accountability for:

That's why we've adopted a structured hybrid approach that allows you the benefit of a reduced commute while still building strong workplace relationships. Currently, all employees are expected to be in the office two days per week at minimum, with Tuesday and Thursday as our anchor days. In addition to this, each month our Leadership team dedicates three consecutive days onsite to continue to foster alignment and connection across the team. During this time we expect everyone to join us in person to do the same. Please note: our hybrid approach may evolve over time as we adapt to the needs of our team and business.

The Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition will lead the design and execution of a forward-thinking talent acquisition strategy across Canada and the US. This is a high-impact role focused on driving proactive sourcing and attracting top-tier talent in key functions including marketing, finance, manufacturing and supply chain, e-commerce, and sales. Success in this role means you take on accountability for:
- Deeply understand Open Farm's business priorities and talent needs to design sourcing strategies that deliver high-performing, diverse teams.
- Taking a proactive approach to sourcing — leverage digital tools, market mapping, passive candidate outreach, and network building to identify and engage top talent.
- Continuously monitor the external market — understand key players, talent trends, emerging skillsets — and maintain warm pipelines of qualified, ready-to-hire candidates.
- Auditing and enhancing recruitment processes — drive improvements in bias reduction, diversity hiring practices, and employer brand positioning across Canada and the US.
- Partnering with hiring managers and leaders to elevate recruitment capability — providing strategic guidance, tools, and insights to drive better hiring outcomes.
- Defining and tracking key metrics that measure recruitment success and ensure timely, high-quality hires.
- Championing a best-in-class candidate experience — from first contact through onboarding — that reinforces Open Farm's values and culture.
- Supporting hiring managers with interview training, equitable hiring tools, and structured processes to ensure fairness and rigor in every hire.
- Owning full-cycle recruitment — collaborating with the Chief People Officer on headcount forecasting, hiring plans, and budget alignment.
- Contributing to broader talent attraction and retention initiatives in partnership with the HR team.
- Collaborating with the Human Resources team on ad hoc initiatives relating to talent attraction and retention
- All other duties, as assigned
- 6+ years of progressive recruitment experience (corporate and/or search firm), with strong expertise in proactive sourcing and full life cycle recruiting.
- Experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) or related industries is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to headhunt and engage top passive talent through advanced sourcing strategies — beyond job boards and inbound applicants.
- Strong experience building qualified, diverse talent pipelines and mapping key talent markets.
- Deep understanding of digital sourcing tools, LinkedIn Recruiter, social media, and online talent databases.
- Entrepreneurial, proactive, and thrives in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
- Known for exceptional candidate generation, relationship building, and talent assessment capabilities.
- Strong business acumen — able to understand hiring needs and advise leaders on talent strategy.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills across all levels of the organization.
- Confident and effective at "selling" the opportunity and positioning Open Farm's brand to top candidates.
- Sharp market awareness — stays current on talent trends, competitive landscape, and evolving attraction channels.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders with ease.
