Position: Ski & Board School Sales Desk Supervisor - Winter 25/26

Reports to: Resort Services Manager

Employment: Full-Time, Seasonal (November to Mid-April)

Compensation: $21.00/hour, + overtime as needed

Job Description:

Responsible for assisting the Resort Services Manager in coordinating the Ski & Board School sales desk team and liaising with schedulers, instructors and managers.

The Sales Desk Supervisor must thrive in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision, and quickly comprehend and act on changing priorities when necessary. They must demonstrate superior customer service, interpersonal communication and written communication skills.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily duties of the Ski & Board School Sales Desk team to ensure work is completed in an efficient manner
  • Assist the Sales Desk team in handling guest complaints and feedback in a professional and timely manner, bringing in the Resort Services Managers when/if required.
  • Assisting staff members with general knowledge of Big White Ski Resort and of all product offerings, prices, specials, discounts, requirements for purchasing, promotion bookings, familiarization (FAM) tours within the Ski & Board School.
  • Be aware of program numbers and communicate staffing needs to the schedulers, operations managers, and supervisors when necessary.
  • Assist Resort Services Managers with administrative tasks, including but not limited to invoices, inventory management/ordering and staff scheduling/assignment
  • Disseminate information to relevant teams as required by the Resort Services Managers
  • Communicate effectively with all departments regarding guest experience
  • Provide exceptional customer service at the Sales Desk as required
  • Provide Support /leadership to staff
  • Other duties as requested by resort management

Position Requirements and Skills:

  • Proven self-motivation, ability to work well with minimum supervision
  • Proven experience supervising a team
  • Excellent organization, time management and communication skills
  • Must have a high level of attention to detail
  • Work well within a diverse team environment
  • Flexible availability: including evenings, early mornings, weekends and statutory holidays
  • Tourism/Hospitality experience is an asset
  • Microsoft Office proficiency is an asset
  • RTP One Resort experience is an asset

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to sit and stand for the duration of the shift
  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 25kg
  • Must be able to kneel, bend, squat, stoop and stretch to fulfill duties
  • Requires grasping, using tools, writing, standing, sitting, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions in needed
