Retail Account Manager

The Retail Account Manager (RAM) for the GTA North territory, is responsible for all aspects of driving and achieving the retail sales and budget goals in their assigned territory and door allocation. The RAM will work to develop and grow the Benefit business through retail team development, training, merchandising, events and by setting objectives and achieving sales results. The RAM will act as an ambassador for the Benefit brand and motivate the retail team through passion and enthusiasm, and by exemplifying the Benefit culture and DNA. This role is a 12-month contract, based in Mississauga.
What You’ll Do:
-Results-
- Achieve and/or exceed daily, monthly & annual retail & service sales goals.
- Develop & implement action plans to achieve sales growth, maximize sales, productivity, and profitability.
- Effectively plan, coordinate & execute marketing driven events, including new product launches & new store openings to achieve sales objectives, build brand awareness and maximize long lasting sales impact.
- Review weekly, monthly, and annual sales results with Regional Manager.
- Communicate weekly and monthly Brow Bar objectives to Brow Bar team, meeting targets & managing P&L
- Ensure that Benefit offers the highest possible level of customer service through the Benefit Experience.
-Business Management-
- Identify & communicate ongoing successes/achievements, opportunities/threats & competitive information.
- Work closely with retailer teams to identify & manage business-building opportunities.
- Schedule meetings with key contacts monthly; plan agenda & prepare to discuss objectives, opportunities, results.
- Conduct Brand Business Reviews (BBR) & strategize with retail partners to achieve retail sales growth.
- Regularly recap, communicate & identify weekly sales results & business opportunities with Brow Bar team.
- Visit service doors & teams according to call cycle.
- Conduct annual review process to develop and manage BBE team.
- Analyze & communicate stock concerns to ensure appropriate stock levels.
- Identify Benefit brand rank & develop/ adjust strategies to increase rank.
- Recruit, train & manage team to maximize sales impact.
- Establish & maintain first-rate working relationships with retail partners, BBE’s & colleagues.
- Plan & manage personal & team schedule a minimum of 6 weeks in advance.
-Merchandising-
- Execute seasonal updates & new store installations within designated timelines, according to brand expectations.
- Report & manage merchandising & maintenance issues/updates.
- Communicate and manage all stock concerns to Regional Manager and retail contacts and ensure appropriate stock levels to support retail sales plan.
- Follow up with Sephora Store Operations to ensure gondola updates are completed.
-Qualifications:
- 3-4 years retail experience.
- Proven strong sales & customer service track record.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, negotiation & presentation skills.
- Adept at problem solving and ability to manage change in a positive manner.
- Strong skillset in being able to analyze business results and use data to drive the business.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Self - motivated and able to work independently.
- Passionate and tenacious about building results driven teams.
- Strong attention to detail while simultaneously being capable of seeing the ‘whole picture.’
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to directly manage a team.
- Must be comfortable having physical contact with clients.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle to travel for work purposes are required as an essential duty of this position.
- Flexibility to travel within Canada. Occasional travel to the USA is required.
- Flexibility regarding work hours; ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays. (Workweek typically Tuesday-Saturday; 1-2 Saturday’s off per month).
- Ability to receive and store collateral.
