We are currently looking for a General Support Operator to join our busy and growing manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be engaged in elevating the Anodizing department and company to the next level. The incumbent will be forward looking and thrive in a culture of continuous improvement.
For the right person this is an exciting opportunity to be developed and invested in to become an integral member of the Production team within the plant and operations. We are looking for a highly motivated, focused and outgoing person who wants to springboard their career with a thriving manufacturing company. You will be provided the coaching and training needed throughout the onboarding and orientation process that will build from your base of skills acquired from your past experiences.

Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Meter Service and/or miscellaneous assembly
- Material handling
- Mask meters for painting
- Water Testing
- Organizing product
- General housekeeping
- Packing and skidding product
- Operate forklift (only if certified) or pump truck to load and unload all products entering or leaving the company, as necessary
- Operate a hoist in a safe manner (only after proper training)
- Housekeeping as required
- All other duties as assigned by the Department Supervisor
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to perform repetitive lifting – up to 50 lbs.
- Able to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to weigh and measure items
- Working knowledge of safe lifting methods
- Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment including forklift truck
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
- Attention to detail in all areas of work
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Forklift certification preferred
- Working experience in manufacturing environment
- Lean Manufacturing training and experience an asset
