Your Role Within The Team
- Support the engineering change control process in a large multidisciplinary project.
- Support management with making sure that all design changes are properly documented, evaluated, and implemented for closure.
- May attend meetings acting as Secretary to design change control approvals.
- Support management with the use of engineering tools consistently within the project.
- Support engineering integration by creating datasets, including but not limited to Safety Analysis Data List and Unit Data List.
- Manage various databases, such as assumptions and risks, creating and keeping track of actions.
- Develop and support engineering applications and related databases and assist with the maintenance of technical reference data.
- Prepare various engineering reports and provide status.
- Support engineering disciplines with design requirements database, by implementing information directly in the tool (i.e. DOORS).
- Prepare specific procedures and processes to align the work within the project.
- Support with technical integration and interface control both within the project across the various disciplines involved, and with the Joint Venture Members.
- Collaborate with various engineering disciplines and help with integrating the best practices into project work.
- Supporting managers and directors to drive process improvement.

- Engineering degree in a core discipline (Process, Chemical, Mechanical) from an accredited University.
- Registered Professional Engineer in a Province of Canada is an asset.
- Minimum 5 years of design experience in their core engineering discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of nuclear industry with focus on engineering change control.
- Experience in integrating various engineering processes in a multi-disciplinary work environment.
- Experience in performing work under nuclear quality management systems such as CSA N286, and CSA N299 is an asset.
- Knowledge of a CANDU-type nuclear reactor system design at high level, as well as ability to dive into various systems in order to support design integration.
- Strong engineering background in key processes supported by engineering applications.
- Comfortable in fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Ability to multi-task multiple jobs in an individual or group setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, including taking into account the plans of others.
