Here’s Where You’ll Be Focusing
- Ability to develop a deep understanding of designated categories, market trends and consumer behaviors.
- Be accountable for the product, placement, pricing, and promotion for items within their categories, consistent with each banner strategy.
- Respond to customer needs in their category and is responsible for developing and executing customer-relevant strategies.
- Negotiate the lowest cost of goods and meet sales and profit targets.
- Review and analyze margins, deals, retail savings, forecasts, units of measure and cost, for accuracy.
- Review competitive price check and take appropriate action on weekly price change report.
- Assist with the resolution of pricing issues.
- Review vendor submissions and new article listing reports.
- Assist in ad creation and ad proofing processes.
- Respond to requests to meet customer needs.
- Identify opportunities and expedite category plans with operational support.
- Review underperforming categories.
- Other relevant duties as required
- An Undergraduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or a DEC and a minimum of 4 years relevant experience
- Ability to leverage technology (SAP, Excel) to review and analyze large volumes of data.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business (oral and written)
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
