Parts and Service Advisor
Williams Lake, BC $23.00-$26.00/hour
Dawson International Truck Centre is looking for a Parts & Service Advisor who will use their expertise in parts and service to ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
In this role you will be a valued member of Dawson International Truck Centres, working in a permanent, full-time position of Parts & Service Advisor, reporting to the Branch Manager. The Parts & Service Advisor is a key position that provides support to the team by being the first line of communication for customers. This role will be 70% Parts and 30% Service focused. Your base location will be Williams Lake, BC.

Parts and Service Advisor

Dawson International Truck Centre is looking for a Parts & Service Advisor who will use their expertise in parts and service to ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

What Success Looks Like
- Perform daily tasks like stocking shelves, general cleaning, and handling shipping and receiving duties.
- Deliver parts to customers as needed
- Enter parts into inventory, put parts away, and assist with shipping and receiving when necessary.
- Handle cores, warranties, and merchandise returns as needed
- Professionally greet customers, handle phone calls, and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Sell products and/or services to meet the customers needs.
- Pull parts from inventory to assist shop techs promptly with their requirements.
- Work the parts counter, following dealership procedures for cash, credit, and cheque transactions.
- Follow up on parts shortages and expedite orders by reporting to the Branch Manager.
- Create repair estimates, obtain authorization, and keep customers updated on the status and cost of repairs.
- Assist in technician timekeeping and help manage invoice payments and files.
- Open and close work orders, manage Sublet PO’s, and contact customers for necessary PO’s.
- Process repair orders, confirm warranty eligibility, and verify product coverage.
- Pull parts from inventory to assist shop techs promptly with their requirements.
- Work the parts counter, following dealership procedures for cash, credit, and cheque transactions.
- Handle cores, warranties, and merchandise returns as needed at the point of sale.
- Follow up on parts shortages and expedite orders by reporting to the Branch Manager.
- Notify the Credit department if a customer’s A/R account exceeds the allowable limit.
- Assist with customer complaints and concerns, ensuring issues are resolved to both the customer’s and dealership’s satisfaction.
- Preferred two (2) years of administrative experience, preferably in a related industry.
- Heavy truck industry or mechanical knowledge is preferred.
- A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, and previous OEM Service experience is an asset.
