About The Role
As the Business Partner, Communications and Brand, you will be a key member of the Marketing & Communications team. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Communications and Brand Experience, the business partner is responsible for delivering impactful marketing and communication activities. The successful candidate will bring a “get-it-done” attitude to the team, and act as a brand ambassador.
Responsibilities
The Business Partner, Communications and Brand is responsible for providing support for Oakville Hydro communications programs, events, and initiatives, including coordination, planning, implementation, and measurement. The role will also support corporate and business development initiatives as required.
As part of the role the incumbent will create marketing collateral, external and internal communications, event and promotional materials, news releases, and website and social media communications.

About The Role

Responsibilities
The Business Partner, Communications and Brand is responsible for providing support for Oakville Hydro communications programs, events, and initiatives, including coordination, planning, implementation, and measurement. The role will also support corporate and business development initiatives as required.
As part of the role the incumbent will create marketing collateral, external and internal communications, event and promotional materials, news releases, and website and social media communications.
Responsibilities Include
- Designing, developing, and producing marketing programs and campaigns (digital and traditional) while ensuring brand integrity and consistency (sell sheets, project sheets, advertisements, presentations, and more)
- Developing and executing content strategies for employee communications and public relations, including news releases and crisis communication support
- Management of the Oakville Hydro website, including content creation and site maintenance
- Social media management and coordination of the Oakville Hydro social channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. This includes content creation, coordination, and analytics.
- Supporting the preparation of, participating in, and attending brand events (trade shows, promotional, community and customer events)
- Outage management, including after hours communications support as required
- Collaborating and participating in corporate and strategic initiatives when required
- Managing, auditing, and reporting compliance with all brand standards and guidelines
- A university degree or college diploma in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Experience in developing content and marketing materials, collateral, and campaigns
- Social media platform management, B2B environment an asset
- Ability to engage effectively with executive leadership team, exhibiting a high degree of professionalism
- Excellent attention to detail, writing, and communications skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
- Experience with Ontario’s utility, energy and/or infrastructure sector is an asset
- Professional office environment, this role requires working 5 days a week in our office
- Additional hours may be needed as the workload demands
- Minimal travel within Ontario required
