We are seeking a Welder who is aspiring to reach their potential in the field of heavy equipment repair and maintenance. J-AAR Assets and Logistics is responsible for repairing and maintaining vehicles, trucks and heavy equipment in support of our aggregate, concrete, asphalt and heavy civil divisions.
Environment

This dynamic role encompasses work in both shop and field environments, providing variety and opportunities for growth. How You Will Make An IMPACT
- Perform welding repairs on equipment in the shop and make road calls when required.
- Able to meet job requirements in adverse field and weather conditions.
- Able to read, interpret, and compose work orders.
- Knowledge of heavy site construction equipment operation, maintenance, capability, use, and function.
- Operate equipment and tools properly and safely.
- Able to MIG, TIG, and stick weld.
- Monitor and maintain appropriate supply levels.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience with heavy construction equipment repair and maintenance.
- Valid welding certification, CWB is considered an asset.
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 75lbs.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Adheres to Health and Safety regulations as well as company policies.
- Ability to keep accurate records.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Basic computer skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well in a team environment with a positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
