Our client in Windsor, ON is looking for a Dimensional Engineer. This is a contract position.

The Dimensional Engineer - Associate will develop, define, document, and communicate commodity dimensional requirements.

Dimensional Engineer
Job Summary
Our client in Windsor, ON is looking for a Dimensional Engineer. This is a contract position.
What You Will Do
The Dimensional Engineer - Associate will develop, define, document, and communicate commodity dimensional requirements.
Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To
- Understand, document, and communicate dimensionally-related technical requirements to component suppliers.
- Use CAD tools to validate the correct application of engineering design rules.
- Use technical analysis to define and negotiate component-level engineering specifications.
- Lead cross functional meetings to gain consensus on technical requirements.
- Validate checking fixture concepts and component control plans.
- Participate in the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) process.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
- 1-3 years of automotive engineering or industrial manufacturing experience.
- No driving of a vehicle required.
- Less than 10% travel, including to supplier locations in North America.
- CAD experience.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and procedures.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Dimensional control or automotive quality experience.
