Account Executive – AWS Solutions & Managed Services

This role is available for candidates in the Toronto/Greater Toronto area

This is a role that can be done remotely, with exceptions, travelling is mandatory in this role.

READY FOR YOUR FIRST MISSION ?

We are seeking a high-performing Account Executive to drive growth by promoting both AWS-aligned solutionsand Cortex’s native managed services, including offerings in cloud infrastructure, VDI/EUC, modernization, and operations.


You will be responsible for developing and closing business across the Rest of Canada (ROC) and U.S., with a focus on AWS cloud workloads and Cortex's managed service portfolio. This includes VDI solutions (Citrix, Amazon Workspaces, Horizon), VMware modernization, S3-based storage strategies, and container platforms (EKS, ECS).


You will collaborate closely with AWS Account Executives, Cortex’s Partner Sales Manager, and internal technical teams to drive revenue and long-term account growth.


Briefly:

Territory Sales Execution

  • Own the full sales cycle across assigned accounts in Canada and the U.S.
  • Position Cortex’s AWS-aligned solutions and native managed services to solve complex IT challenges.
  • Drive new business and account expansion through direct outreach, relationship building, and partner collaboration.

AWS Partnership Engagement

  • Co-sell with AWS Account Executives, leveraging Cortex’s status as an Advanced Partner.
  • Utilize AWS funding programs (MAP, OLA, DWS, ISV Accelerate) to support deal progression.
  • Ensure opportunity registration and partner alignment through ACE and MS-Dynamics

Solution Selling

  • Lead client discovery sessions and articulate value of Cortex’s solutions in the context of AWS.
  • Promote full Cortex portfolio: managed services, cloud migration, optimization, and advisory.
  • Engage internal pre-sales and delivery teams to support proposals, demos, and implementation scoping.

We're looking for a dynamic sales professional with 3+ years of experience in cloud or IT solution sales and a strong track record in territory management and closing deals.


Must-Haves:

  • At the very least 3 years of experience in managed/professional services sales for mid-market or enterprise clients.
  • Proven strong track record in territory management and closing deals in the IT ecosystem
  • Knowledge of AWS workloads, cloud infrastructure, EUC, VMware, and containers.
  • Ability to communicate value effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong proficiency in English is required to communicate with clients and partners primarily located outside of Quebec. Functional knowledge of French is preferred.
  • Self-driven, autonomous, and a strong collaborator.
  • Willing to travel within Canada and the U.S.for events and sales opportunities


Nice to have:

  • Experience selling to U.S., healthcare, Commercial or financial services a plus.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and AWS tools (ACE, Partner Central).
  • AWS certifications (e.g., Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect) are an strong asset.
