Job Summary

Job Description / Qualifications

Responsible for assisting the Branch Manager with all daily operational functions including inventory accuracy management, backorder management, delivery investigations, showroom merchandising, mobile showroom management, rental item oversight and maximizing productivity. Maintains operational excellence in inventory management, sourcing, pricing and sales transactions.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities And Key Accountabilities

  • Generates, updates and distributes operational reports (i.e. planned deliveries, vendor pickups).
  • Collaborates with the Warehouse Manager and/or Warehouse Supervisor on delivery schedules.
  • Assists with the planning and execution of showroom merchandising changes, including new product introductions, sales initiatives and general showroom stocking requirements.
  • Assists counter staff with answering phones and helping customers at the counter with quotes and orders.
  • Assists insides and outside sales team with inquires related to order logistics and operations (freight quotes, vendor/warehouse availability and shipment lead times).
  • Maintains rental items issues (i.e. orders, quotes, invoices and returns).
  • Maintains inventory accuracy including cycle count discrepancies, lost products, damaged products, transfer and return discrepancies and audit preparations.

Nature and Scope

  • Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor.
  • Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.
  • None.

Work Environment

  • Usually located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort, such as dust, fumes, or odors.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in a physical environment. Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes. Ability to make repetitive movements, such as using a 10-key or calculator, bending, or squatting.
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education And Experience

  • HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. Specialized skills training/certification may be required. Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.
