As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will make an impact by crafting the future of cloud-native software delivery. You'll encourage engineering teams by building scalable platforms and automation that make development faster, more reliable, and secure. You’ll work with ground breaking tools like Azure, Kubernetes, and Service Fabric to improve system resilience, reduce manual effort, and foster a DevOps environment. You'll directly impact the speed, stability, and efficiency of AVEVA’s global engineering initiatives. You will be a valued member of our IoT Smart Manufacturing practice and work collaboratively with our Platform Engineering Team.

In this role, you will
- Coordinate with software engineers, architects, and product managers to evolve AVEVA’s internal developer platforms supporting critical enterprise programs.
- Build and operate resilient cloud infrastructure using Service Fabric, Azure, and Kubernetes (K8s).
- Lead all aspects of the design and automation of CI/CD pipelines that support build, test, and deployment processes across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Develop scripts and tooling to manage infrastructure, support continuous integration, and reduce deployment-related downtime.
- Create and support dev/test environments that are consistently provisioned and ready for each release cycle.
- Identify and resolve issues in the build, release, and deployment pipeline, with a focus on automation and root cause analysis.
- Author and maintain operational documentation, scripts, tracers, monitors, and self-healing tools to improve platform reliability.
- Detail operational procedures and contribute to playbooks and runbooks to support scalable growth while nurturing automation-first thinking
- Support production, staging, QA, and development environments, ensuring consistent performance, availability, and efficiency.
- Help integrate new technologies into existing platforms to improve developer experience and operational scalability.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- A proven track record of 10 or more years in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Operations role with strong experience using Azure CLI.
- Expert in supporting applications on Kubernetes, Azure, and/or Service Fabric.
- Proficiency with infrastructure automation and tools for monitoring, configuration, and deployment.
- Outstanding ability to write and maintain scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python for managing cloud applications and environments.
- Top-tier experience with CI/CD systems and source control tools.
- A dedication for automation, operational perfection, and improving developer workflows
- Proficiency in software development C# experience is an added bonus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proactive problem solving skills and the judgment to advance or engage external vendors when appropriate.
