We’re looking for a Press Feeder who will be responsible for feeding a multi-color large format sheet fed press and assist the Press Operator to manufacture printed materials for our valued clients in an efficient manner.
Working Hours
This role will be on a 2 week rotational shift on day shift (7:30am – 3:30pm), afternoon shift (3:30pm – 11:30pm) and night shift (11:30pm – 7:30am).

This role will be on a 2 week rotational shift on day shift (7:30am – 3:30pm), afternoon shift (3:30pm – 11:30pm) and night shift (11:30pm – 7:30am).
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and load the correct substrate as per the print docket instructions for production.
- Operate the Feeder, mount and register plates, filling ink fountains and water tanks as required
- Work with the Press Operator and ensure to follow their instructions
- Troubleshoot and resolve press related issues such as any problems that may arise with stock, mechanical malfunctions and other job issues such as plate problems, ink, mylar, water
- Perform quality control and check printed sheets for defects, keeping area clean of debris, garbage, waste bins, stock
- Clean up the press and press area after job is complete
- Establish a “preventative maintenance” schedule or routine
- Secondary School Diploma, with previous experience in a sheet-fed Press Feeder position
- Strong understanding of supplies, chemicals and mechanical maintenance and press related issues (weekly greasing of feeder, press, changing of bearings, filters, gears, rollers)
- An understanding of the various substrates, inks and coating types and their applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to take initiative and troubleshoot any problems that arise
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs
- Willingness to be trained in lift trucks and WHMIS
