The CCES recruits doping control officers and chaperones to collect blood and urine samples in support of the Canadian Anti-Doping Program.

Doping Control Officers
Doping control officers (DCOs) are casual employees, trained and certified by the CCES to conduct sample collection for both urine and blood in accordance with the WADA International Standard for Testing and the Canadian Anti-Doping Program (CADP).
When Recruiting DCOs, The CCES Considers The Following Factors

Doping Control Officers
Doping control officers (DCOs) are casual employees, trained and certified by the CCES to conduct sample collection for both urine and blood in accordance with the WADA International Standard for Testing and the Canadian Anti-Doping Program (CADP).
When Recruiting DCOs, The CCES Considers The Following Factors
- geographic location;
- replacing existing/retiring DCOs;
- increasing the number of DCOs in a specific area; and
- new major games commitments.
This position with the CCES requires an individual with the following minimum abilities:
- follow directions and instructions;
- work in stressful situations and solve problems;
- act in a respectful and professional manner;
- effectively evaluate situations and exercise good judgment calls;
- follow a defined set of protocols and procedures;
- work in a high pressure, constantly changing environment;
- work with athletes of all levels, including Olympic level & professional athletes;
- maintain confidential information.

- complete the CCES volunteer screening policy;
- submit a police record check;
- complete a phone or in-person interview;
- attend a formal training session;
- complete a written exam; and
