Job Title: Technical Project Manager (IT Infrastructure Systems/Support)
Location: Sydney
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of APAC IT infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with regional and head office objectives, timelines, and industry best practices.
- Manage infrastructure initiatives such as OS upgrades (e.g., Windows 11 migration, Windows Server 2012/2016 upgrades), endpoint management (Intune), backup systems (e.g., Rubrik), network and security solutions (Zscaler), monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds), and offshoring operations for resource augmentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across APAC and Tokyo to drive successful project execution.
- Act as the key point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring timely and transparent communication of project status, risks, and issues.
- Develop, maintain, and present project documentation and reports for senior management and key stakeholders.
- Proactively identify project risks and issues, and develop appropriate mitigation and contingency plans.
- Monitor project progress and performance against defined goals and objectives, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Bachelor?s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on IT infrastructure.
- 3?5 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure delivery, including technologies such as Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Intune, SolarWinds, VMware, backup systems, and Azure.
- Proven experience managing global or regional IT projects, including coordination from a local office perspective.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to effectively liaise with vendors and internal IT teams for issue resolution.
- Experience in the Financial Services industry.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent project management certification.
- ITIL certification.
- Familiarity with local IT regulatory requirements.
- Experience working in multicultural and regional environments.
- Technical certifications such as MCSA, MCSD, or MCSE (if applicable).
