UX Designer - Intermediate

On behalf of our Government Services client, Procom is searching for a UX Designer - Intermediate for a 10 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto, ON office.


UX Designer - Intermediate - Job Description:

The project involves designing and improving the user interfaces for various digital products to enhance user experience. It includes both new development and iterative design improvements based on user testing and feedback.


UX Designer - Intermediate - Responsibilities:

• Create effective, user-friendly, and visually appealing interfaces.
• Design the overall functionality of the product to ensure a great user experience and iterate upon it using user-testing feedback.
• Design user interfaces for digital displays, publications, media, and other creative materials as required.
• Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate designs.
• Conduct user research, interviews, and surveys, translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
  
  
  

UX Designer - Intermediate - Mandatory Skills:

• Experience creating GUI designs based on user interaction and performance.
• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools.
• Experience in designing for web and mobile applications.
• Experience designing and delivering wireframes, user stories, user flows, user journeys, mockups, and prototypes optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
• Experience facilitating product and service design vision and concept.
• Experience designing content to meet user needs and simplify complex, technical language.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  
  
  

UX Designer - Intermediate – Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Knowledge of network security and network protocols.
• Experience with Figma user interface design software.
• Experience designing interfaces with a design system.
• High emotional intelligence skills.
• Experience with medium-to-large sized product development / service design projects.
  
  
  

UX Designer - Intermediate – Assignment Length:

This is a 10 month contract position.
