Position Summary

The Territory Dealer Manager will serve as the face of Bridgestone in an assigned territory and will be responsible for delivering sales targets for a network of commercial tire dealers and fleet customers. The successful candidate will be a
motivated self-starter with sales and account management experience. The individual will bring analytic-based decision making, expertise in making sales presentation and prioritization of workload. The candidate will be taught the
Bridgestone portfolio through an in-depth e-learning modules, a qualified peer mentor and in-field shadowing of a seasoned teammate. The ideal candidate will have background that includes a record of achievement and showcases
increasing responsibility. Problem solving, communication, organization, business planning and development, customer management, growing market share are all important aspects of this position.

** Our ideal candidate would be located in the general area of Regina to Winnipeg **
** The territory is Manitoba and Saskatchewan **


Responsibilities

Key responsibilities are to partner with dealers, fleets and the commercial sales team to:

  • Solicit / sell fleets and end-users within assigned areas (both national fleet and retail) for new tires,
  • retreads
  • Collaboration with Territory Fleet Managers to manage fleet customers including current and new
  • prospects
  • Perform evaluation and inspection of tires on fleet customers
  • Work closely with dealer CSR’s to increase profitable sales for both Bridgestone Commercial Solutions
  • (BCS) and our dealers.
  • Develop, implement and maintain business plans for key assigned dealers/fleets within territory.
  • Support dealers to optimize franchise operations to increase sales and financial performance as well as
  • operation efficiencies.
  • Develop plans in close coordination with the assigned Technical Services Representative (TSR)
  • Present, implement and administer sales and marketing programs to the dealer and fleet network,
  • within the territory to attain and exceed sales quota for assigned accounts.
  • Conduct group and individual training with dealer Commercial Sales Representatives (CSRs) on
  • product, features and benefits, programs and marketing tools
  • Demonstrates dealer support by increasing fleet business for all dealers within the area for both new
  • and retread products.
  • Makes sales calls with dealer commercial sales Representatives (CSRs)
  • Analyze and identify fleet customers’ needs through, sales calls, fleet inspections and scrap tire
  • analysis.
  • Establish and maintain fleet tire performance data vs. competition utilizing BCS performance tracking
  • software.
  • Develop good working relationships with assigned fleet accounts.
  • Develop, participate and support dealer/end user functions.
  • Resolve customer concerns and deliver a high level of customer service.
  • Manage territory while keeping within predetermined budgets.
  • Travelling out of town as required.
  • Performing other related responsibilities as assigned.
  • Managing area and time efficiently

Minimum Qualifications

  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience
  • Proven sales ability
  • Tire/automotive related experience is preferred
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Developed communication skills, written, and spoken, in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to travel frequently over weeknights and weekends to visit assigned accounts, attend special
  • dealer events and required sales meetings (approximately 50% of the time)
  • Managing area and time efficiently
  • Team-player approach
  • Ability to display professional conduct and communicate effectively
  • Ability to maintain composure in high stress situations
  • Strong negotiation, prioritization, organization skills
  • Openness to change
