Position Overview: Compugen is seeking aa IT Infrastructure Specialist for a 3 – 6 month contract working remotely. Candidate must currently reside within Canada and be available to work MT.

The specialist will assess clients current IT infrastructure, define technical requirements, and lead the implementation of hardware, software, and server-related solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate existing IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, endpoints, and any UDI systems or processes.
  • Develop a strategic roadmap for infrastructure upgrades and migrations aligned with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate to source compatible hardware, software, and services.
  • Implement and configure IT solutions with minimal operational disruption.
  • Provide documentation, training, and support to ensure smooth adoption of new systems.
  • Manage project timelines and communicate progress to leadership, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within scope.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of windows systems
  • Working knowledge of blockchain technology
    • Smart Contracts
    • Public/private key minting technology
    • Payment processing systems
  • Integrating software – accounting, HR, payroll, business processes – in dynamic systems
  • Firewalls
  • Experience prototyping and deploying lightweight, modular applications (e.g. Odoo custom modules, API-connected mobile apps, or community interfaces tied to blockchain records).”
  • Special knowledge of
    • Human services systems
    • Data collection regarding persons served (patients/clients)
    • User agreements
  • Security by Design
    • Experience with zero-trust architectures
    • Knowledge of secure enclave computing (e.g., TPM, HSMs)
    • Data sovereignty frameworks (esp. Canadian privacy law + decentralized storage)
  • AI Infrastructure Awareness
    • Familiarity with LLM integration, vector databases (e.g. Pinecone, Weaviate), and model deployment
    • Understanding of data flows needed for adaptive AI assistants
    • Modular + Edge System Design
  • Experience with containerized infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes)
    • Knowledge of multi-node deployment, local caching, and edge redundancy
    • Comfort with energy-aware compute (for ModCan integration in future)
    • Blockchain Beyond Tokens
    • Experience with DID standards (e.g., W3C, Veramo, Hyperledger Indy/Sovrin)
    • Smart contract platforms beyond Ethereum (e.g., Polygon, Solana, Avalanche) if cost/scaling matters
