SCADA Engineer

Agilus is recruiting for multiple SCADA Engineers in the Midstream Energy Sector in a hybrid work environment in Edmonton, Alberta.

Our midstream client is hiring 3 SCADA engineers to join their team on a contract basis to support the development, maintenance and problem solve issues with the SCADA systems.

A Typical Day

• Provide technical support for SCADA integration projects, including troubleshooting, diagnostics, application testing, and configuration updates.
• Coordinate closely with Control Centre staff to plan, organize, and deliver SCADA-related projects effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Loss Management, Infrastructure Optimization, and Control Systems to address business need
• Ensure smooth communication and transition of SCADA system changes by working with SCADA Operations and Support teams.
• Lead the operational transition of key SCADA applications, including OASyS, PROCYS (RTAP), and Cygnet.
• Support SCADA system commissioning and contribute to the successful deployment of new systems.
• Uphold SCADA best practices and standards, while preparing documentation, communicating technical concepts clearly, and supporting safety and team initiatives.
  
  

Successful Candidates Will Have

• Undergraduate degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
• 2+ years of experience.
• Working Knowledge of UNIX, C, C++, Java, Python and Perl programming language.
