What will your typical day look like?
As a Financial Analyst within the IT Financial Management (ITFM) team at Deloitte Canada, you will play a crucial role in managing and analyzing IT finance. You will build strong relationships with Internal clients, Partners and Operational teams, using your technical expertise to create models that inform strategic decisions. Your tasks will include providing detailed insights through analysis, monitoring key metrics, and evaluating risks and opportunities to forecast financial outcomes. Additionally, you will be responsible for planning, tracking, and reporting financial activities, while delivering comprehensive financial analysis and results to the leadership team.

Under the supervision of the Manager, the incumbent will play a key role in supporting financial reporting and analysis for our internal support functions. Collaborating closely with team members, you will assist the Firm's Executive leaders in finalizing month-end results, enhancing operational efficiencies within the team, and implementing standardized reporting processes.

The salary range for this position is $47,000 - $78,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program. - Utilize strong analytical and modeling skills to prepare comprehensive financial forecasts.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and generate insightful financial reporting.
- Provide ad hoc business and financial reporting to evaluate the operations of the Technology Office.
- Analyze data to support decision-making and strategic planning
- Collaborate with Departmental Directors to review and analyze monthly operating results.
- Identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement in departmental performance.
- Assist in the Technology Office's annual planning process, focusing on departmental priorities.
- Manage seasonal staffing requirements and operational expenditures to align with strategic goals.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
- 1-2 years of experience in budgeting, financial reporting, or financial management within a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in Excel (including Power Query, Power Pivot, Tables, Formulas, and Standard Reports), PowerPoint, and Word. Experience with Power BI for report generation is advantageous.
- Strong aptitude for numbers and accuracy, with the ability to perform financial and accounting tasks such as journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, business analysis, scenario planning, and sensitivity analysis.
- Capable of identifying data connections, delivering new insights, and generating creative solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- High degree of integrity and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- While this position satisfies the CPA Level 1 requirement, it is not aligned with the overall requirements for CPA certification. This role may not provide the necessary experience or support for individuals pursuing a CPA designation.
