Reporting to the Supervisor of Technical Services, the Network System Administrator will provide system-wide technical support and day-to-day operations of two data centers, wide and local area networks, core system servers, school-based servers, and back-up systems.

Permanent CUPE 12, 35 hours/week, 7 hours/day
Level 6 - $33.52 - $35.47

Posting Overview
Reporting to the Supervisor of Technical Services, the Network System Administrator will provide system-wide technical support and day-to-day operations of two data centers, wide and local area networks, core system servers, school-based servers, and back-up systems.
Qualifications/Experience
- three-year Diploma or a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Studies; equivalent extensive relevant experience will be considered;
- at least four years of experience in a large enterprise IT environment with progressive responsibility;
- at least two years experience in a similar position or working with similar technology.
- support and maintain all aspects of the email system O365 and Google;
- support and maintain Google Workspace and Office 365 systems;
- support and monitor both data centers and the daily operation of servers;
- support and maintain all school servers;
- support network security and application distribution;
- support and maintain network switch configurations;
- support and maintain wireless infrastructure;
- support and maintain CCTV system;
- support and maintain ID automation scripting and coding integration with SIS and HR system;
- maintain network documentation and diagrams;
- monitor and maintain all server backups, restore files;
- support and maintain Active Directory, SCCM, Group Policies;
- all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Technical Services;
- access to reliable transportation is required due to late notice location changes and emergencies.
