As the Strategic Procurement Manager, you will guide a team of procurement professionals, collaborating with both internal teams and external partners to oversee sourcing activities, manage costs, reduce risks, and support the achievement of key organizational goals.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE :
- Lead the design and execution of complex sourcing strategies across multiple business functions.
- Manage and mentor a team of procurement professionals through all stages of sourcing projects, from requirements gathering to contract finalization.
- Provide strategic advisory services to internal stakeholders to align procurement initiatives with organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships, ensuring contract compliance and performance management.
- Facilitate negotiation processes to drive optimal value in terms, pricing and risk mitigation.
- Serve as a key contributor in cross-functional initiatives, especially those involving large-scale service procurement.
- Foster continuous improvement and innovation in procurement practices, tools, and processes.
- Support contract lifecycle management and ensure alignment with regulatory and policy frameworks.
- A degree in Business, Supply Chain, Commerce, or a related field.*
- Proven experience leading strategic procurement initiatives, ideally in a public or complex multi-stakeholder environment.*
- Prior experience managing direct reports and contributing to leadership team discussions.
- Strong background in sourcing services across various categories, including but not limited to technology, professional services, and operational support.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and build consensus across departments.
- Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
- Familiarity with procurement regulations and standards applicable to public sector or regulated environments.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., SCMP, CPSM) are considered an asset.
- Different combinations of relevant experience and education may be considered.
