What You Will Do

  • Provide personal care services to clients living in the community. With this support and assistance, Bayshore clients are able to remain in the comfort of their own home, enhancing their quality of life, dignity, and independence
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, provide cognitive, social and/or emotional support, and complete other assigned tasks such as meal preparation, laundry and monitoring household safety.
  • Duties may include skin care, hair care, mouth care, bathing, bowel and bladder care, positioning and movement, exercise, feeding, special diets, assistance with oxygen administration and medication reminders
  • At times PSW may provide specialized procedures with clinical training and support
  • Documentation is required throughout the care program. Training will be provided

Our current starting wage is $24.41 per hour

What You Bring

  • Professional Certification (PSW/HCA/International Nurse), evidence of certificate and education verification is required
  • International Nursing Degree with proof of education verification
  • Clinical experience and practical hours of community care experience (preferred)
  • Proof of legal entitlement to work in Canada
  • Proof of records of Immunizations (dependent upon Provincial government regulations)
  • CPR Certification within one(1) year
  • Proof of being negative for TB Skin Test within the past one (1) year
  • Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check within the past six (6) months
  • Valid Driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable vehicle with willingness to drive within the Greater Hamilton and Burlington areas in all road conditions
