Autodesk’s AEC Data Model (AECDM) Team is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager with a background in enterprise software companies and cross-team collaboration. As the ideal candidate, you possess solid technical expertise and business acumen, the ability to impart a sense of urgency and influence your leaders and peers. You have a bias toward action, you are a champion for pursuing business outcomes as opposed to performing development activities, you are proactive in stakeholder management and establishing relationships with customers. You enjoy operating as ’equal partners’ with Engineering, Architects, Product Managers, Experience Designers and Product Owners. You are an Agile practitioner with deep expertise in supporting and enabling self-organizing engineering teams. You are responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment
You will report to the Senior Manager of Operations, AEC Data
Responsibilities
- Plan and ensure delivery by engaging with engineering leadership to build and refine delivery plans. Track multiple sprint cycles, refine plans, and communicate progress to stakeholders
- Effectively lead diverse stakeholders within the organization to launch and manage especially innovative (sometimes tricky), never-tried-before initiatives
- Identify and mitigate risks, reduce waste, optimize delivery, and improve team satisfaction with the delivery process
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams on highly complex initiatives involving multiple teams, in a fast-paced environment, using traditional and Agile methodologies
- 3+ years of experience as a Technical Program, Product, or Project Manager, or similar role
- Demonstrable knowledge in systems/cloud services, and cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Strong technical background, detail-oriented, and excellent problem-solving abilities
- Skilled in change management and anticipating challenges
- Strong influencer with self-direction and autonomy
- Collaborative team player who thrives on building healthy relationships, including mentorship
- Curious and passionate about simplifying and scaling processes
- Respectful and candid communicator with strong presentation skills
- Willing to challenge the status quo and consider new perspectives
- PMP or other related professional certifications
