Business System Analyst - Delivery and Deployment

On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join their IT team and translate complex, fragmented operations into system-ready configurations, produce integration specifications, and develop deployment strategies for a multi-tenant environment. Configuration and deployment experience will be valued, and experience within higher education environments would be very nice to have.

Responsibilities:

• Translate Business Operations: Independently convert fragmented operational practices (e.g., legacy systems, Excel, Word, manual methods) into structured, system-ready artifacts for direct configuration in LLIS.

• Design Integration Specifications: Deliver detailed documentation defining LLIS connectivity with core platforms (Canvas, Workday, Salesforce, Identity) at data, logic, and timing levels to ensure secure, production-grade deployment.

• Develop Configuration Packages: Create actionable configuration packages for unique requirements, such as program coordination and payment processing, bridging business needs with platform capabilities.

• Create Deployment Strategy: Own the development of a non-disruptive deployment strategy and environment management plan for LLIS’s shared multi-tenant system, ensuring data integrity and conflict-free iterative cycles.

• Build Validation and Rollout Plans: Develop a rigorous test framework for LLIS tenants and project teams to validate functionality and stability, alongside a production rollout plan for a smooth, low-risk transition.

Qualifications:

• System Configuration Expertise: 3–5 years of hands-on experience delivering system-ready configurations and integration specifications in enterprise environments, ideally with platforms like Salesforce, Workday, Canvas, or Modern Campus (25% evaluation weight).

• Independent Delivery: 4+ years of experience independently owning end-to-end delivery of technical artifacts (e.g., configuration packages, deployment plans) on projects with 6–12-month timelines, demonstrating full accountability (25% evaluation weight).

• Deployment Strategy Experience: 3+ years of experience creating deployment strategies and environment management plans for multi-tenant or shared systems, supporting at least 2–3 production rollouts (25% evaluation weight).

• Higher Education/LMS Experience (Preferred): 1–2 years of experience in higher education, non-credit/lifelong learning, or learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Modern Campus) is a plus (10% evaluation weight).

• Technical Acumen: Strong ability to translate fragmented business operations into structured, testable, production-deployable artifacts across enterprise platforms.

Required Experience:

• Proven ability to independently deliver system-ready configurations, integration specifications, and deployment plans within complex, multi-system enterprise environments.

• Strong technical acumen in translating fragmented business operations into structured, testable, and production-deployable artifacts across platforms like Workday, Salesforce, Canvas, and identity management systems.

• Experience with highered sector or non-credit/lifelong learning or learning management systems like Canvas will be a plus
