- This position starts at $21.50-$22.50/hr depending on experience

- Monitor security systems, including access control, intrusion alarm, CCTV, audio communication, building automation, environmental and fire, life, alarm and safety systems
- Access Control- create tickets for access as requested, request vendor unlocks, badges for vendors and visitors to control access
- Communicate with building occupants during emergencies and with local police, fire and emergency personnel regarding on-site emergencies.
- Provide clear and concise documentation of all incidents through available logs
- Patrolling is required for this position
- A valid Alberta security guard license
- 1 year of experience in security at a corporate building
- 1 year of experience in dispatch/control center
- Must be able to work 12 hour rotational shift day and night shifts
- This position is located in the downtown- no provided parking but next to train station
- A fundamental knowledge and preferred experience of security technology and systems such as alarm and access control systems, CCTV systems, communications technologies, and general MS software programs
- Excellent personal computing skills to include all office related products and familiarity with specialized security applications
- Ability to develop sound knowledge of critical site interrelationships and key members of Property Management
- Exceptional organizational skills, with an emphasis on multi-tasking and rapidly assessing and shifting priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain professional demeanor under very stressful situations.
- Must be self-motivated and consistently show initiative.
