Position Summary And Scope Of Service

Reporting to the Manager of Facilities and consistent with the Mission, Values and Polices of St.Amant, the Summer Landscape Labourer is a critical role in ensuring the success of St.Amant business and operations.

Qualifications
Professional:
As a Condition of Employment; successful candidates will be required to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening, Adult Abuse Registry Check, Child Abuse Registry Check and Prior Contact Check.
As a Condition of Employment; new hires must complete a series of Occupational Health Checks. This includes the requirement to confirm immunization or immunity of specific communicable diseases. Successful applicants will also be required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination prior to start date.

Qualifications
Professional:
- Any related work experience would be an asset, however candidates with the right attitude, work ethic and fit to our organization will be considered (training will be provided)
- Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as a collaborative team player in a team environment
- Ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
- Superb interpersonal skills to establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships with humility and self-awareness
- Ability and willingness to give and receive honest, balanced feedback
- Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty environment both inside and outside and in confining spaces
- Physically capable of meeting the demands of the position and in good health
- Ability to comply with St.Amant and service dress codes, shoe policy, sanitation policies and maintain personal appearance and cleanliness
- Energetic, self-directed and person-focused
- Cut and trim lawns, plant and water flowers, fertilize plants and lawns, maintain shrub beds, remove litter and perform other related maintenance duties indoors and outdoors
- Plant trees, shrubs, flowers, install sod and perform other landscaping duties
- Maintain all facility grounds areas
- Operate hand mowers, trimmers, and other small engine powered equipment
- Operate vans, tractors, riding mowers and related implements
- Clean streets, curbs, drains and catch basins
- Clean and wash vehicles
- Perform setups for special events
- Move material and equipment as required
- Support Lead Groundskeeper and Manager of Facilities to work as a team in providing the people we support and staff a comfortable and safe environment
- Perform other appropriate duties, as may be assigned
