Summary

The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for picking, checking, and packing orders as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Picking, packing and preparation of orders for daily shipments
  • Receiving and sorting buy-out materials
  • Checking the accuracy of delivered items against vendor delivery slips.
  • Goods receipts/issuing of buyouts and inventory materials within the ERP system
  • Loading and unloading freight and materials as instructed
  • Distributing paperwork to appropriate personnel for goods receipt.
  • Coordinating order discrepancies and other issues with Purchaser
  • Safe operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment
  • Assist with inventory receiving and shelf restocking
  • Assist with physical inventory counts
  • Follow and support all Precision Drilling policies and procedures
  • General warehouse maintenance such as cleaning and organization
  • Weekly pick-up and delivery of materials and products
  • Assisting in identifying workplace hazards
  • Maintaining a clean driving record
  • Working overtime hours when required, including on-call rotation
  • Various other duties as required

Knowledge/Skills

  • Computer skills
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time appropriately.
  • Detail oriented
  • A team player and collaborative worker with a positive attitude
  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • 1-3 years of progressive experience in a similar role
  • Material handling Knowledge including fork-lift operation are essential but not required.
  • Prior warehousing experiences an asset
