About The Role
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Studio Manager oversees Front of House (front desk), Back of House (cleaning/maintenance) operations and the Sweat Equity (energy exchange) programs for the location. The Studio Manager is responsible for inspiring and driving operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and team member experience. The Studio Manager is tasked with meeting or exceeding location profit targets through effective management of operational costs including labour, tools and supplies and cleaning supplies cost centres. A standard work week for this position is Wednesday - Sunday.
The Studio Manager for The Well provides operational support and human resources to Reformd, a Lagree Studio by Sweat and Tonic also located at The Well.

Primary Job Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Service Standards
- Ensure all FOH team members are equipped to deliver an elevated, welcoming experience to guests.
- Deliver and maintain up to date training and reference materials.
- Act as a point of escalation for any guest service issues, resolving them professionally and in alignment with Sweat and Tonic’s brand values.
- Monitor studio cleanliness and presentation to uphold premium standards throughout all spaces.
- Oversee daily studio operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and guest-ready environments at all times.
- Develop and implement SOPs for both FOH and BOH to ensure consistency, cleanliness, safety, and service standards.
- Manage shift coverage, time-off requests, and resolve last-minute staffing issues as needed.
- Lead, manage, and inspire the Front of House and Back of House teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Hire, train, coach, and schedule FOH and BOH team members to ensure high performance and engagement.
- Conduct regular performance management and provide constructive feedback for team development.
- Use leadership skills to manage company turnover rates.
- Oversee ordering, stocking, and organization of FOH and BOH supplies, including towels, toiletries, and cleaning products.
- Lead monthly inventory counts for merchandise and operational supplies.
- Continuously seek to minimise costs, working with an array of suppliers for the best possible price.
- Meet weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual labour cost targets by tightly monitoring studio attendance and the team schedule.
- Maximise sales through effective inventory management and merchandising standards.
- Track and report COGS through effective inventory management.
- Ensure that all staff follow proper health, hygiene, and safety procedures.
- Perform regular studio walkthroughs and coordinate maintenance or repairs where needed.
- Serve as the bridge between the operations team and senior management, ensuring clear communication of studio needs, team concerns, and policy updates.
- Collaborate with other department leads (e.g. Events, F&B) to support cross-functional initiatives and studio events.
- Perform team member onboarding.
- Report bi-weekly on payroll costs.
- Track penalty refund rates and complimentary attendance ensuring adherence to policy.
- Track attendance, staff performance, and incident reports.
- Contribute to operational planning, budgeting, and monthly reporting as required.
- Prior experience in a high-volume fitness environment is an asset.
- Experience managing a team of 10 or more.
- You thrive in the absence of a rigid schedule in a rapidly changing environment.

- Base salary $65 - $75k per annum dependant on experience
- Enrollment in annual management bonus plan targetted at 10%
