Total Restoration Services - Vernon is a full-service Restoration company specializing in floods, fires, sewage back-ups, storm damage, vehicle impact damage, B&E damage and reconstruction services. Position Overview:

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Carpenter works within the restoration and construction division completing restoration work for both residential and commercial properties.

Job Duties:

  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Reads work order/scopes or receives instructions from Project Manager
  • Will demonstrate skills in the safe operation of hand and power tools, to include (but not limited to) temporary generators, ladders, table saws, circular saws, routers and sanding equipment
  • Erecting and disassembly of scaffolding
  • Demolition and debris disposal
  • Preparing material take-offs and reading blueprints
  • Set up and take down of poly containment and drop sheets to accommodate work
  • Knowledgeable in building code and construction math
  • Perform all aspects of carpentry to the best of one’s ability, to include (but not limited to) cabinetry, trim, doors, framing, board ups, insulation, shoring, temporary and permanent structure additions
  • Prepare purchase orders for all materials and supplies to be ordered for each job scope as well
  • Keep inventory of in-house stock and report replenishing to Mitigation Manager
  • Build, erect and secure temporary and permanent partitions using a variety of building materials
  • Construct and secure temporary and permanent partitions
  • Will practice good housekeeping at all times to ensure a safe and non-cluttered worksite (job site and carpentry shop)
  • Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
  • Work efficiently
  • Comply with company quality and service levels.
  • Complete daily detailed timesheets for all jobs.
  • In preparation of daily tasks make sure vehicles are gassed up, and stocked with equipment, supplies and paperwork required to perform activities.
  • Ensure attention to detail and keen sense of safeguarding other people’s property and information
  • Participates in and demonstrates an understanding of safety principles and practices; follows all safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment, including safe operation of machines and equipment
  • Comply with all Total Restoration policies and procedures, as well as legislative requirements
  • Proactively communicate job site conditions and concerns that may or are affecting completion of the job to the appropriate person

Requirements:

  • Possess a valid class 5 drivers license (holding an 'N' is acceptable)
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Provide a clean drivers abstract
  • Provide a clean criminal record check
  • Provides own steel toe boots/shoes
  • Ability to safely lift and carry 50lbs
