Job Description:
As the Cardiovascular Technologist your role and main purpose at RVH is to perform specific cardiac testing professionally and accurately. The cardiovascular technologist supports physicians and other hospital staff in the treatment of patients by providing preliminary reports in a timely manner to ensure quick results to ordering physicians. The cardiovascular technologist also provides teaching to other hospital staff, students and patients.

The cardiovascular technologist also provides teaching to other hospital staff, students and patients.
As a qualified candidate you will need have the following job requirements:
- Cardiovascular Technology diploma course
- Registration with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists and The Ontario Society of Cardiology Technologists required and in good standing
- Minimum one year of experience
- One month of basic 12 Lead ECG and Holter application
- Heart rhythm/ arrhythmia knowledge
- Knowledge and training of all equipment used
- BCLS (CPR) – yearly
- 10 continuing education credits per year
