We are looking for a full-time Senior Credit and Collections Analyst.This position reports to the Credit Manager, North America.This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of distributor accounts receivable accounts in both Canada, USA and International.This entails review and release of order on hold, ensuring on time payments,full account reconciliation and analysis, performing cash application, monitor and action any deductions / short payments, codinggeneral ledger transactions within accounts receivable subledgers.

This position will support our operations on the west coast and will work standard hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM PST. The role involves direct interaction with our distributors, as well as collaboration with colleagues and internal teams- including Sales, IT, and Management- across multiple time zones, from the east coast to the west coast. *Note this role will be hybrid with a minimum of 2 days per week in office OR fully remote depending upon location of successful candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Collection action on overdue accounts
  • Reviewing and release of orders in credit hold queues following internal guidelines
  • Reconciling accounts including detailed identification and support of deductions / claims, cash receipt and credit memo applications
  • Responding / resolving distributor and internal inquiries by voice calls, telephone, Teams, Outlook emails accordingly
  • Reviewing new and existing account credit limits, obtaining necessary credit reports / references, interpreting those, and making recommendations to Supervisor / Credit Manager
  • Supporting customer set up and maintenance in Prelude A/R module
  • Supporting daily online banking, cash receipt posting,of EFT and LockBox preparation and input into
  • Supporting credit card processing
  • Ensure compliance with internal requirements / standards and company policies
  • Be accountable and ensure accuracy in areas of responsibility.
  • Be articulate and create / present explanations and reports to distributors and to internal SureWerx stakeholders.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant accounts receivable / credit and collections experience in B2B environment.
  • Be an entrepreneurial spirit with knowledge of the full-cycle order to cash process with in a high transaction volume environment.
  • Self-starter and strong ethical standards.
  • Strong understanding of accounting debits, credits, and GAAP.
  • Understanding of financial reporting principles and practices.
  • Preference for designation such as CCA CIC or NACM CBA or working towards one as well as equivalent courses taken.
  • Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines.
  • Skilled, self-learner using ERP systems.Bonus if ERP experience with Prelude.
  • Experienced in downloading from various web-based portals and uploading flat files.
  • PC literate in use Windows 11 such as pinning / links / drilling down on mapped drives.
  • Skilled user of MS Office 365, Outlook, Word, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint.
  • Proven advanced Excel skills including Pivot tables, macros, and advanced formulas.Bonus if skilled in Power BI.
  • Experience working in a dynamic, constantly changing, and fast-growing company environment is ideal.
  • Excellent English verbal, written, and people skills.Bonus if bilingual.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to analyze and take constructive action is critically important.
  • Detail oriented, attentive and ability to prioritize tasks but pivot on short notice.
