We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to join our security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events and incidents. You will play a critical role in protecting the organization’s information systems and data from cyber threats and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor network traffic and security alerts for unusual or suspicious activity.
  • Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and manage remediation efforts.
  • Perform security audits and risk assessments across systems and networks.
  • Maintain and update security tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Assist in the implementation of cybersecurity training and awareness programs.
  • Stay current with evolving threat landscapes, security technologies, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT, compliance, and other departments to ensure holistic cybersecurity coverage.
  • Assist in incident response planning and participate in simulation exercises.
Qualifications:Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or a related technical field.
Certifications (Preferred but not required):
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
  • GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)
Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of security tools and technologies (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, antivirus, etc.)
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals and common protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, etc.)
  • Experience with vulnerability scanners (e.g., Nessus, Qualys)
Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
