Job Description:


The People and Culture Department is seeking a summer student who is pursuing a college or university degree preferably in Human Resources or Administrative studies. As a People and Culture Summer Student, you will be responsible for providing administrative and project support.

The hourly rate for this role is: $16.20.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the People and Culture team including filing, HR system data entry, and new hire onboarding admin processes.
  • Provide benefits administration support including, processing staff benefits enrolments, updates, and terminations.
  • Modify/create ad hoc excel reports from raw data.
  • Conduct HR system data audits and support data clean-up.
  • Support recruitment activities such as telephone screens interview scheduling, conducting reference checks, and updating job postings.
  • Provide ad hoc support to People & Culture projects.
Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled at a post-secondary institution with a focus on Human Resources, Administrative Studies or a related field of study.
  • Able to apply basic human resource, administrative, and business skills in day-to-day tasks.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Office 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Quick learner with a "can do" attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Self-starter who succeeds in a collaborative team environment.
  • Interest in supporting others in the delivery of care for children and youth with complex needs.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Records Check.
