Crane Operator/Speedwall Trailer Driver

Flynn Group of Companies is currently looking for a Crane Operator/Speedwall Trailer Driver to support our Vancouver Branch located in Surrey, BC (Office Location – 19175 22 Ave, Surrey BC, V3S 3S6), reporting to the Logistics & Yard Manager.

A Day In The Life

• Heavy Towing > 4600 Kgs W/ 40ft trailer & Ford F550
• Operate a 22 tonne folding knuckle crane. Ticket A or B
• Loading/Unloading material
• Heavy Lifting required up to 100 lbs
• Perform pre-operational inspection for towing, calculate crane capacities and weight
• Complete Field Level Hazard Assessments prior to all lifts
• Strictly follow safety procedures and guidelines
• Efficiently load and unload material without damage
• Communicate with Foreman, Superintendents and Managers on day to day operations

What We Are Seeking

• Class 1 DL
• Comfortable driving trailer in downtown area and backing into delivery area using traffic control
• Experience with physically demanding work
• Dependable and willing to work various hours as required
• Must have a high level attention to detail
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Minimum of 2 years of operating a crane.
• Must be safety oriented
• Strong problem solving and time management skills
• Self motivated and able to work with limited supervision
