Civil Structural Designer

Agilus is recruiting for an Intermediate Civil / Structural Designer in the oil & gas industry in Calgary, Alberta.

The Civil Structural Designer will provide technical support to project teams, offering support in all stages of the project, from the initial feed phase to fabrication and construction.

A typical day:

• Model and develop 3D structural models and conceptual designs from engineering sketches or prints using Advance Steel.
• Produce 2D structural drawings from 3D models
• Produce detailed structural fabrication drawings.
• Generate material take offs

Successful candidates will have:

• Engineering Design & Drafting Technology
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Strong understanding of drafting principles, structural design, and engineering concepts.
• Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Advance Steel and Navisworks.
• Oil & Gas project experience is required - well pad & facilities
